Always check the oil and underneath the engine before you start the vehicle.  You never know exactly what the other person has done or what maintenance they have kept up on until you look underneath the hood.  Do a visual inspection to make sure everything is in its right location this way when you go to start the vehicle of nothing is going to start on fire or have any other problems when you’re starting the vehicle.

Another thing that you have to pay close attention to before you buy a car is to make sure that a visual inspection is done throughout the whole vehicle.  Look underneath the vehicle to see if there’s any leaks or if the smell anything out of the ordinary such as gas.  This is one of the things that you have to look forward to before you decide to purchase any vehicle from any person that is selling a vehicle.

Now that the car has gone through your visual inspection is time to start the vehicle.  This is where you will notice and any noise is that may be coming from the engine or you’ll find out how hard it is going to be two start.  Do not take it for a test drive before you do another visual inspection of the running engine and all of its parts.

This will give you a better indication if the engine is actually going to be strong enough to pull the car under its own power or if you’re going to need to find a mechanic to fix the problems that you are noticing.  You will also be able to tell if the exhaust is going to be too loud as you’re driving it down the road.  These are all problems that you need to look for before you start pulling out for a test drive of the vehicle.
