What Do I Need to Know About the NJ Driving Test Practice?

Most states will require a driver to pass a knowledge test to get their driver’s permit (then their permanent license). New Jersey and the Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) is no exception. Individuals who want to get their permit will have to meet specific requirements and pass a written test to be able to qualify to get their permit and then their driver’s license.

What Should I Expect When I Take My Permit Test?

To prepare for the New Jersey Driving Test practice test that allows a driver to get their permit, they will have to take an examination administered by the MVC. The test will consist of 50 questions of which the driver must answer 40 of them (80% of them) correctly.

A great place to take some practice tests is at https://www.driverknowledge.com/driving-tests/ page for the state of New Jersey. All questions come directly from the New Jersey Driver Manual so you know that the questions you are practicing are authentic to the ones that will appear on your 50 question exam. Reading the New Jersey Driving Manual and taking several of these tests is a great way to practice for the actual written permit test that you will have to take.

The New Jersey Driver’s Permit test is also available in 10 different languages to help meet all of New Jersey’s resident’s needs.

Other Requirements to Being Able to Take the New Jersey Driving Practice Test

Any applicants wanting a New Jersey driver’s license must have documentation to fully satisfy the 6 point ID verification. A vision screening is also mandatory for all motorists. If an individual has impaired vision that is not currently corrected by the appropriate corrective lenses will get referred to a physician for further screening and diagnosis before they can take their driver’s permit test. The MVC may also require periodic vision check updates for a driver to keep their license once it gets issued.

After the 50 questions on the exam are answered, the new, prospective driver will have to fill out a survey about organ donation before their permit is issued. Once you receive this permit, you will be required to bring the permit to your driving test to obtain a permanent license.
