Traffic rules instruct drivers what they should, or should not do, in certain circumstances. On the Texas Drivers License Test, you need to prove to the state of Texas that you are a safe and knowledgeable driver.

When You're Beginning to Drive, Take a Texas Driving Test Online

Driving is a physical activity, involving physical things, and the only way to really learn to drive a car is to have the practice of actually driving a car. Albeit, driving begins slowly, then quickens as learning progresses.

Still, before you can actually drive any car legally in Texas, you will need to take (and pass) the Texas written test. Passing this written test will ensure that you get your instruction permit. If you are younger than 25 years old, you will also need to complete a valid driver’s education course. Everyone applying for a license or an instruction permit will need to pay the applicable fees and bring with them various proof of ID and citizenship.

Once you get your instruction permit, you will be allowed to drive. But remember, this is a slow process. Your instruction permit requires that you are supervised by a licensed adult 21 years of age or older. Once you have completed your driving practice via your instruction permit, you will be able to take your road test and, once you pass that test, you will be eligible to get your first driver’s license.

Hooray! This is such an exciting time! If you are ready to begin this process, first get a copy of the Texas Driver’s Handbook and study all the shapes and colors of the road signs. Study the meanings of the different lines on the roads and what to do at a four-way stop. Study all the laws, and then try a Texas driving test online, which will allow you to test your knowledge before you show up at the DMV.
