How to Get a Driver’s License in Nevada

2. If you are over the age of 15 ½, you may bring your birth certificate, ID card, or social security card to obtain your learner’s permit. In addition, the cost of the written and skills tests is $25.

3. At the DMV, you must pass a vision test, passing with a minimum of 20/40 in each eye. Drivers who need glasses or contact lenses to drive will be given a special restriction.

8. The cost for the driver is $22, and a parent or guardian must assume all financial responsibility for a minor driver.

9. If you pass the exam, you will receive a temporary license until your photo ID arrives in the mail. This should take less than 10 business days.
